I dyed this wool for a special friend who's having a pretty tough time at the moment. I hope she enjoys knitting with it :)

A monkey for Mr X

I finally made a special toy for X's birthday present (only 4 months late - not too bad for me!). It's from this pattern : http://quesera.ojaru.jp/osaru-pattern.html and was soooo fiddly, but I'm happy with the end result. JJ seems to like it more than him though! Oh well.

I'm so impressed with myself - I've actually made JJ a garment that isn't nappy related!! Stopped at Spotlight on Monday (completely unaware they had a huge sale happening) which was totally feral esp with X running around everywhere in the crowds, but managed to get some lovely fabric and exactly the pattern I've been wanting for some pants for JJ.

The pants need a higher waistband, but that should be easy to change, and she loves her new caterpillar pants, which is the main thing!
